Most living things on earth need Food, Water and Air to survive, a plant gets these things and the other nutrients from the soil. Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium are considered as the most important nutrients for a plant. The root or root hairs uptake the nutrients from the soil and helps a plant in its good growth, a bad soil can destroy a plant or it may stop the growth of a plant.
