I have updated RAM in my PC from 2GB to 4GB but it shows that only 2.92GB is usable why?

It depends which Os you are using.A 32-bit OS can only utilize 4 gigs of RAM due to memory address limitations. Out of this 4 gigs, it must set some aside for the system, so you'll only see 4 gigs minus the amount of RAM needed to operate the OS and hardware drivers. I'd say 2.92 would sound about right. And there's nothing wrong, it just means that windows 7 has reserved the 1.08gb for itself, and the rest is usable for anything else.

A 32 bit OS will never recognise RAM more then 3 GB so you wil haave to upgrade your OS.
