Tigers, Red pandas and Lions are dying due to infection caused by Canine Distemper Virus (CDV). The Indian Veterinary Research Institute in Bareilly found Canine Distemper Virus in the blood samples of dead animals. CDV affects different systems of the body, including a nervous and respiratory system in these animals. It spreads in the animals that eat dogs infected with the virus and/or drink water from the same source.
