Melanoma is a cancer of pigment producing cells called melanocytes. Most of the times this originate from the skin, though they can also arise from other parts of the body containing melanocytes, including the eyes, brain or spinal cord, or mucous membranes. Due to nature of rapid growth in the body, it becomes one of the deadliest cancer. This disease is one of the most common cancer in the united states.
