    Cucumber is one of the widely cultivated plant in the gourd family and it contains a total of nine minerals. "Potassium" is the mineral, which is found in more quantity than the other minerals, i.e. 147 mg in every 100 grams. However, it contains about 95 percent of water, little amount of protein, dietary fiber and vitamins.
