EPS (Encapsulated Postscript File): A high resolution image stored in the Postscript page description language. The EPS standard enables users to transfer high-resolution graphic images between applications. You can size EPS images without sacrificing image quality. A major drawback of EPS graphics is that to print them, you usually need a Postscript - compatible laser printer.
