Yes, it has been estimated by the scientists that the next "Supermoon" is expected to appear in August 2014. The Supermoon is used to denoted a state when moon appears closest to the surface of Earth on its elliptical orbit. Supermoons occur about once every 14 full moons in a full moon cycle. According to NASA during Supermoon the moon appears 14% larger and 30% brighter. The technical name used for this phenomenon is "the perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system".
