    The monsoon can cause many diseases which come with the rains. Some of the Monsson diseases are given below : -

    >> Malaria : - Every monsoon malaria kills thousands of people. It is carried by the female anopheles mosquito, which is an evening and early morning biter. The symptoms of malaria are : -

    >> Severe fever with chills which usually occurs within 72 hours of the bite
    >> Sweating, body-ache and cold-like symptoms
    >> Can also include diarrhoea, jaundice


    >> Dengue : - It is the most notorious monsoon disease, It is carried by the Aedes mosquito, which bite during day time. The symptoms of Dengue are : -

    >> High fever within 4-7 days of the mosquito bite
    >> Rashes on the body with severe muscle and joint pain
    >> Bleeding gums
    >> Loss of appetite


    >> Cholera : - This disease usually, spread through food and water contaminated by human faeces and is carried forward by the flies and it is common in areas of poor sanitation. Cholera can be easily cured, but it can be deadly when left untreated. The symptoms of Cholera are : -

    >> Effortless vomiting and severe diarrhoea
    >> Low blood pressure
    >> Rapid weight loss and muscle cramps because of dehydration
    >> Loss of skin elasticity
    >> Dry mucous membranes, including the inside of the mouth, throat, nose, and eyelids
