"Oscar Award" is considered as the oldest award and it is also known as "Academy Award of Merit". The winner gets a statuette as an award. This statuette is 13.5 inches (34 centimeter) tall and the weight of the statuette is 8.5 lb (3.85 kg), it contains 92.5 percent tin and then there is 7.5 percent copper on it and after that there is a gold plate on it. Approximately 500 Oscars made each year in Chicago and it will take about 3 to 4 weeks to make each statuette.
