Human resource management (HRM) :- It is the process of managing people in an organizations in a structured and thorough manner. It's functional area can go beyond the employee contract as well. It also includes a wide range of cultural, structural and personnel strategies. The ultimate focus is on business need. On the Other Hand, Personnel Management (PM) : - Personnel management works on the activities that are supposed to be done for managing the workforce rather than resources which makes it more administrative in nature as compared to HRM. In this case the management it done within the boundaries of the contract. Here labor is treated as a tool which is expandable and replaceable.
