The real or true weight is caused by the gravitational force and it is always constant. The apparent weight is the sum of real weight and the fictitious force associated with the acceleration. The fictitious force changes when we accelerate in a particular direction. For example, if we move downwards fictional force increases and if we move upward, the fictitious force decreases which will have a direct impact on apparent weight.
