It means in unison. The dramatic traditions of Ancient Greece arises the use of the chorus. The chorus was a group of people who often danced and chanted in unison to give the presentation of drama. It acts as a narrator, which introduce and set the scenes and through which audience know about the stage action. During the play chorus could enter into the crowd. As the time passed chorus, chrous group was split and reduced to a single performer. Sometimes chorus can be called as narrator, or a character in the story.
