A parody is when you copy something which is already created. You would most likely add some creative twists to it. It is very much common to use parodies on events or topics which are popular. An example of parody in literature is Ben Johnson's 'Every Man in His Humor'. It is one of the first example of parody which was introduced around the 17th and 18th centuries.
