What is the difference between .DXF format and .DWG format?

.DFX Format is used for "Drawing Exchange Format File". It is mainly used for different image files and different documents that contain AutoCAD. On the other hand .DWG Format is used for "AutoCAD drawing database file" which is a useful tool if you work extensively with computer aided design. This is a database of 2D and 3D drawings which were created with AutoCAD. The only difference between both the files is that DXF is a lot more compatible with different programs when you being to make use of them.
