There are many sayings that why April fool's day is celebrated, some people say that earlier the calender starts on 1st April, first April was a new year day. But a king announced that 1st January will be celebrated as a new year. After that some people still celebrated 1st April as a new year day. Then by seeing all this again king announced that those who will celebrate new year on 1st April will be considered as fools. And 1st April became the fool's day. And some people say that on April 1,1698 many people were tricked into going to the Tower of London to see the Lions washed. So, after this incident they celebrated 1st April as fool's day. We can't say which one is true or anyone of them is true or not.
