Minerals are the chemical elements which are essential for the living organism other than hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon and oxygen are called minerals. And the minerals that our body needs less than 100 milligrams every day are called as trace minerals. However, our body requires a small amount of these minerals, even then they are important for the growth and maintenance of our body. There are fourteen trace minerals, including iron, chromium, zinc, iodine and calcium and each of them has its own importance in our body.
