    The longest river in France is "Loire". It is approximately 1,012 kilometers or 629 miles long and its basin is about 117,000 square Kilometers in the area. It originates from Cevennes in the departement of Ardeche and flows for 1012 Kilometers before draining into the Atlantic Ocean. Nievre, Erdre, Indre and Vienne are the main tributaries of this river.
