    We often see that people are drinking shakes during the workout. It helps a lot to gain energy and weight. You are suggested to consume approx 20-40 grams protein and approx 40-80 grams carbohydrate till the middle of your workout, the ideal ratio between carbohydrate and protein is 2:1. Many drinks and bars contain 1:1, which is also not bad if you want to lose your weight or want to increase the size.
