India's first synthetic rubber plant is at Panipat, Haryana which is set by a joint venture promoted by Indian Oil, TSRC Corporation, Taiwan, and Marubeni Corporation, Japan. It is the country's first unit to produce e-SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) with the output of 120 kilo tonnes synthetic rubber annually.
