The Murray river is the longest river in Australia as it is approximately 2,375 kilometers long. It originates from Australian Alps and flows through many countries including Albury, Wodonga, Echuca, Swan Hill and Mildura before draining into the Pacific Ocean. This river along with the Darling river makes the largest river system of Australia named as the "Murray-Darling river system".
