The "Jeroen de Vries" and his colleagues from the University of Twente in the Netherlands have developed a storage disc that can store data for at least 1 million years. The thing that enables it to store data for such a long period is tungsten that can withstand extreme temperatures. The wafer consisting tungsten is used as information carriers in this disc and is protected by silicon nitride.
