"Viswanathan Anand" was the very first Indian to secure a "Grand Master" title in chess. He is a former world chess champion who belongs to India. He has won the world chess championship a total of five times so far. He was recognized as the strongest and rapid chess player of his generation. He received a respected title of Grand Master in the year 1988.
