Plants looks green in color because they have a substance called chlorophyll. It is such a strong absorber of light that other colors are not visible to us, however in autumn when molecules of chlorophyll starts to weaken then we can see the other colors like red, orange, yellow and brown because of the substance like carotene and quercetin.
