Gerson diet is a type of diet which is entirely a vegetarian diet and it is high in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and micro nutrients. This diet is considered as low in sodium, fats and proteins. We are not suppose to have some of the foods in this particular diet including Soy products, berries, pineapple, avocadoes, nuts, seeds, etc. Soy products contains high amount of proteins in it, so they are not allowed to have, if following Gerson diet. Moreover, these products does not contain enzyme inhibitors which may further leads to a problem in digestion process.
