Why Does Writer's High Take Place? And How?

So whenever I write a good line or paragraph I get a real good high. The words stretch and distort and so does everything in my view outside of my computer. Or there are times when I'm writing something pretty good and I don't know how to continue it and I get the same high. And sometimes when I go over a new story in editting and I see the same part I get high again.

Mark, the people who are telling you you're amazing are there to kiss your butt, not necessarily offer a critical review. Just because they claim to love it doesn't mean they do. As Harris said, writing takes hard work and dedication. You cannot rely on a writer's high to produce quality work. It takes time to write a solid piece and have it be worth reading.

As a well published writer with 45 years experience in the field, I am really cautious about writer's higha because usually what makes me feel good often isn't good writing at all. Writing requires dedication, hard work, and a good critical eye. Be cautious about your highs, and just keep on writing and editing.
