The Iberians colonized Amercas to make profit, but with England it was different, the British Empire was colonizing other parts of the world so they ignored North-America, but some individual British settlers decide to come to America, but America was still a British territory so that's why Americans have had to fight for their independence. That's the reason why also Latin countries like Brazil, Argentina, Cuba... have received a huge number of slaves, because the Iberian colonists just want to make profit on these countries, with America it was different, the settlers came to America to live and they brought their wives, that's why American whites are unmixed and Latin-Americans are mixed, because Iberians sent most men to these countries. A country that was colonized by Britain in a Iberian style was Jamaica and that's why Jamaican population is mostly black. Even though America was different some of the people on some of the colonies that later formed the USA decided to have slaves too, and they bought some slaves but the amount of slaves was very tiny compared to other countries, that's why blacks are 13/100 American population and in countries like Brazil, if you account the mixed and unmixed ones the black population is over 70/100.
