Why did USA attempt to completely destroy the Nazism ideology after the WW2, but USA sort of letting go of the imperial cult of Japan?

Hitler wanted to conquer the world. Can you imagine the number of ghettos he would have established to put away people he didn't consider aryan or worthy of living.

After the war the emperor formally revoked his claim to divinity and the emperor cult ceased to be about aggressive nationalism and more about the promotion of traditional values and working towards rebuilding post war Japan. It suited the Americans to have an emperor who was compliant and respected but no longer seen as a God by the Japanese.

Because the Imperial Cult a) was already being dismantled from within, b) existed only in Japan and not around the world, and c) didn't attempt to commit genocide.
