I’m auditioning for Adelaide in guys in dolls are there any songs that fit her I’m a mezzo soprano and I can belt very well I’m also 14?
I'm with Tina on this. A 14-year-old should not be 'belting'. Your voice is still developing, and you could easily do it irreparable harm.
Wow! Adelaide is one of the greatest characters in musical theatre! She's one heck of a smart, sassy lady, which is why you need a smart, sassy song. Try "Roxie" from "Chicago", "Always True to you (in my Fashion" from "Kiss Me, Kate", or "Before the Parade Passes By" from "Hello, Dolly!"
Talk to your singing teacher. I don't think you should be using your voice like this at 14.
