Can ANYONE tell me the name of the material used for the strings? Its not cotton and I cant find the exact type of string online.?

It looks like a fine yarn. Maybe sport weight or what you would use for baby items.

Looks like what they used to call crochet thread, which came on big spools. Had a sheen to it, so it was not all cotton.

It looks like macrame cord. So, if it's not cotton, it could be: hemp, jute, or yarn.
