The website Instructables.com has lots of handmade electric and electronic items with instructions. While it would not be ethical to copy directly, you could certainly learn the basics making several items and then give something your own design using those skills.

There are no electric devices that you can make by hand for the same or less cost than a machine makes it. Unless you are customizing in a manner people are willing to pay extra for, you need to find some other way to make money.
