Should I give my 10 digit debit card code to my gym?

At the moment I am having problems setting up my membership and Ive been sending and receiving emails to and from my gym. The problem is my access code and now the gym emailed me saying that they need the type of card I have and the last 10 digits. I am anxious whether I should give it or not

If you want to have them charge the card for payment, you have to give the all 16 digits. If you only have 10 digits, that IS NOT a debit card.
