Does it not say in your owners manual, which of course you read?

It calls for 0W-20 full synthetic oil. Not regular or synthetic blend or 5W-20. Listen.

0W-20 form MOBIL ONE>>>OR>> the use of PENNZOIL PLATINUM for HONDA cars) that meet HONDA specification numbers) give a 500,000 MIEL WARRANTY agianst ENGEIN DAMAGE< SEAL and GASAKET leaks as wqwell! AMSOIl and TOTAL ENERGY OIL also make a SUPERB oil for HONDA and other AISIAN engines! VALVOLINE is a GASKET and RUBBER rotter oil and NOT fit for anycar! NO FACTORY on EARTH wil sue it, and neither shoudl YOU! It is made by ASHLAND< and has TO OMUCH ASH. ONLY OIL that meets HONDA spec numbers SHOULD BE USED IN THERE! Look for the name HONDA?ACURA on the LABEL

0W-20 You can download the owners manual https://owners.honda.com/vehicles/information/2013/Civic-Sedan/manuals It says "Premium-grade 0W-20 detergent oil with an API Certification Seal on the container" and "You may also use synthetic motor oil if it is labeled with the API Certification Seal and is the specified viscosity grade". For some odd reason it doesn't specify which API category, but API SN is the recommendation for all gasoline cars newer than 2010.

Hi so multigrade oil synthetic would be what it was filled with back in 2013.

The wight of the oil is printed on the oil filler cap. I like Valvoline High Mileage oil. Make sure you get your oil changed every 3,000 miles if using regular motor oil or every 5,000 miles if using synthetic oil. The cam advance actuators will tarnish up and stick if you don't change the oil at those intervals.
