VP: Assuming this is for a Home setup

Assuming this is for a Home setup: The Short Answer is to look at your router's DHCP settings, note the range it's using (Example: 192.168.0.100 thru 192.168.0.164), then use IP's that are within the subnet but are outside of the DHCP range (Example: 192.168.0.2 thru 0.99). For a better answer, answer the following Q's: - Which country are you in? - What's your router's make & model? - Router's private IP address and subnet mask? - If DHCP is on, what is its range of addresses?

Depends on the OS. Also, a 195 address is not "standard" so I would assume that the network you are on is already managed. If you go to network properties and adjust the properties of the network adapter (Ethernet or wireless) you can change the IPv4 settings to a static address. You should check first though whether these addresses are reserved in the DHCP pool, otherwise you may have problems further down the line. Would need more information to accurately tell you how, but does all depend on what hardware and infrastructure you have. Are any of your "computers" servers or are they all clients? Are you on a domain or workgroup. Windows/Linux? Win 7, Win 8, win 10, Debian, etc. Also, why 195, why not 192??
