Help with Data Error on Sony Handycam FDR-AX53?
I just bought the Sony HandyCam FDR-AX53...
When a video is recorded, once I go into the playback menu to play it, it says data error then the camera freezes. when I take the SD card out to transfer the files there is no sign of the video I just recorded.

Be sure that the battery is fully charged. Make sure that the card is compatible with the camera. Be sure the lock slide (if there is one) on the card is in the "unlock" position. Format the card in the camcorder. Be sure the camera is set to store video on the card rather than in internal memory. Allow the camera to finish writing data after you stop recording. If it still doesn't work, contact the company you bought the camera from. Be nice!
