Since the DCR-SR40e is a hard drive based and there is no "DCR-40e", we assume you mean the DCR-HC40e. Link to the manual: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/res/manuals/3088/30883401M.pdf Page 15 lists that which was included in the box when the HC40e was new. There is no need for a "Handycam station" and none was included in the box. The hard drive based DCR-SR40e needs a Handycam station... but not the DCR-HC40e miniDV tape based camcorder. Some Sony camcorders needed the Handycam station when various ports were not built-in to the camcorder - the DCR-HC40e is not one of those camcorders needing a Handycam station.
