I have a working Verizon FiOS, and was given a Cox cable modem(A relative has upgraded her connection or equiptment).?
What can I use this thing for or is it a brick?

Does the cable modem not belong to the cable company? If it does, it should be returned. If they don't want it back, then keeping it is OK. As for using it, you would need to have infernalnet service through a cable.

you need to see if the cox modem is compatible w/fios, and if it is, then you may be able to use it...........you would need to contact fios and ask them
