Who's idea was to make lowercase L identical to uppercase I??

Well I mean.. Computer programming does need to recognize the difference between a lower case L and upper case I, regardless of whether they look the same or not. The computers see what we don't. And it doesn't really matter anyways, because it is plain knowledge that the L's in "Help, Hello, Apple, etc, are L's and the same with I's. And that's just for computers lmao. Computers don't even make a proper I.
