It normally take 2 to 3 days after exposure for symptoms of a cold to appear.. If you got a sore throat right after kissing, it wasn't from that, but something you touched or someone who coughed or sneezed near you 2 to 3 days ago

Sore throats come from more than just kissing, and they don't come instantly after kissing. Door handle? Shaking somebody's hand? It could have come from anywhere.
