What should i do next time i get an anxiety attack.?

yesterday i got a really bad anxiety attack. dont want to go into details of what triggered it but i got a messages and got anxiety that made me feel dizzy and i threw up. im afraid that it will happen again.

i would get it checked out, it could be your heart doing that, especially if youre getting dizzy

The first thing to do is calm down, which is not really hard. Just breathe slowly and gently. A doctor recommends inhale 4 seconds, exhale 6 seconds till you feel better. Think your way through the problem. When I say think, I don't mean thinking the same thought over and over, spinning your wheels. I mean analyze. What are implications? What's the worst that can happen? How likely is that and what can you do about it. This lets the thinking part of your brain get control of the emotional part of your brain, which is panicking. It also gets you calmed down. More than that - it helps you to come up with a good solution to the problem. As I said - slow breathing is very effective.
