Yes, I love snakes I think they're so beautiful. I've never owned anything that wasn't a mammal or a goldfish so I'd need to do more research. Also the prospect of feeding them live things is a rather uncomfortable thought.

Only if it lives outside and eats voles. I had small snakes like garter and ribbons snakes as "pets" when young, but in hindsight it was more fun to catch them than keep them.

No. I used to have many of them, venomous as well as non-venomous (Not recommended for amateurs) but I now consider them more trouble than they are worth as pets. I put up with the black rat snakes in my henhouse but am careful to collect the eggs before they get to them. They do a good job of rodent control, though. I sometimes get copperheads in there too but dissuade them from returning.
