Is this accurate to clean wood hamster toys?

I saw a video online stating I should submerge the wood toys into boiling water and use dish soap to clean the toys. I don't have that, but can I use hand soap instead? Also, should I use hand soap to wash plastic toys?

Do not use ethanol. Hot water and a soap solution is usually sufficient. Rinse well.

Nameless

Hand soap is fine for the plastic toys. Just use boiling water for wood toys.

You can use 10% bleach or 70% ethanol. Hand soap is fine. All you’re doing is disinfecting any potential bacteria that might be around. Hand soap just takes more work because it’s solid and not a liquid.
