Is it okay to change a Federal Holidays name?

I work for the government in the south and instead of acknowledging Martin Luther Kinda Day as a federal holiday they call it Heritage Day, they've put it up as such and make us call it heritage day instead of the actual holiday. Does anyone know if government funded organization is allowed to do that?

I live in the south. It’s MLK day where I live

They don't have to give you the day off at all. What the hell do you care what they call it?

Here in California Columbus Day is called Indigenous People's Day, so apparently states can retitle these things as they see fit.
