An eagle isn't a mammal either. The eagle's egg isn't in the eagle. The human fetus is in the woman. And the reason for the law about eagles is either a) There is a shortage of eagles. There is no shortage of humans. Or b) The mother eagle didn't ask you to destroy the egg. The human asking for an abortion did ask for it.

It's illegal to abort a human embryo too, unless you have the mother's consent. But where is it OK to kill a baby before the day it is born? In the United States, Roe vs. Wade only allows abortion in the first two trimesters and Republican law makers in many states are even trying to outlaw that. Please elaborate. Check your facts. A Virginia politician INCORRECTLY said the bill would allow an abortion to occur after the baby was born. The New York law only allows an abortion after 24 weeks if the mother's health is at risk or there is "not fetal viability". But a woman can not abort a healthy baby in a normal pregnancy the day before it is born.

An eagle is also not a mammal. I agree with your premise though. Even in liberal Calif, when Scott Peterson murdered his 9 months pregnant wife, he was charged with the murder of his unborn son too. A fetus is a human. It certainly isn't a baby eagle.
