Chris thinks that NASA expertise counts for metereolgica expertise. What is wrong with that?

Outside of their circumscribed areas of expertise, most scientists would hesitate to express an authoritative opinion. All too many of my contemporaries in science have accepted without question the hype that suggests that an advanced degree in some area of natural science confers the ability to pontificate wisely on any and all subjects. And that is where Chris comes in. He thinks we don't know his problem. At least I can say that scientists like myself know it very well. Chris loves sicence and knows sht about it :)

NASA has meteorologists. They need forecasts for launch and they run most of the weather satellites. I'm not really following you thinking they don't have them. They do.

MissiE

Chris is the latest fool to go by on the conveyor belt of suicide-destined misanthropes. WEeeeeeee

Spaceman

First, who the heck is Chris and why should I care? Second, NASA does more than only spaceflights. Its acronym stands for National AERONAUTICS and Space Administration. NASA does a lot of aeronautical, atmospheric, and meteorological research, both on its own and in conjunction with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), as well as with the Department of Defense.

az_lender

Nobody knows what you mean by "NASA expertise." I received NASA grants that had nothing to do with rocket ships and everything to do with atmospheric science. Of course "meteorology" is not the only atmospheric science.

poldi2

No idea who Chris is.

Iridflare

Who's Chris?

roberto

nasas record is spotty in a dozen areas, pics photoshopped thus concealing details in mars pics,,mmgw/climate change/globalwarming, were I in nasa when baraq was coronated then dedicated nasa time & effort on behalf of islam,,I'm outa there. nasa career eggheads ought to have done just that. as a conduit for info from satellites they have control over,if they send them to faithful eggheads at university labs for analysis, they would have performed valuable contributions.

quantumclaustrophobe

Yeah, Chris was always like that, even in high school.

Nyx

Of whom is this 'Chris' you mention? And meteorologists are used in all sorts of industries, and agencies.

Astronomers Study Space, not the Weather Meterological Satellites are used by weather experts

Raymond: OK, I admit

OK, I admit: I am not an expert in psychology. But I still think something is wrong with you.

NASA does employ scientists who understand climate. Not everyone in NASA launches rockets. Global warming is happening https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-latest-signs-of-climate-change And we are causing it https://globalwarmingisreal.com/2011/11/17/infographic-10-indicators-of-a-human-fingerprint-on-climate-change/ The twelve warmest years in the instrumental record are 2017, 2010, 2005, 2009, 2007, 2015, 1998, 2006, 2016, 2013, 2012 and 2014. http://climate.nasa.gov/system/internal_resources/details/original/647_Global_Temperature_Data_File.txt There is a three way tie for 10th place, 2002, 2006 and 2012.

Sounds to me that you are trying to step into expertise in psychology.. just sayin
