He's not in hell, yet, but Hades, which is sort of a mini-hell waiting place (Lk 16:19-31). If I had to guess, he's probably doing something like the rich man in Jesus' story; begging for pity and to be able to warn others about where he's at.

The Bible does not teach that people go to hell. It teaches that dead people go into the grave which is called in scriptures Sheol or Hades. (Ecclesiastes 3:20) "All are going to the same place. They all come from the dust, and they all are returning to the dust." And there is no work or anything else in Hades. (Ecclesiastes 9:10) "Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going."
