Now that Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens weren’t inducted in 2019 Baseball Hall of Fame, are the committee wrong or no?

For the seventh straight year, the greatest hitter of all time and the greatest pitcher of his era will not be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens received 59.1 and 59.5 percent of the vote, respectively, short of the 75 percent needed to enter Cooperstown. But four players did get in, and they all rule. Mariano Rivera, Roy Halladay, Edgar Martinez, and Mike Mussina will be the newest Hall of Famers.

No. Cheaters never prosper. They cheated, a/k/a took performance-enhancing drugs. Bonds is not "the greatest," he just hit the most homers - many if not all while using PEDs. He played in one World Series, and his hitting didn't win the trophy for the Giants.

Bob

Bonds is not the greatest hitter of all time, and Clemens is not the best pitcher of all time.

They should have been banned from bb. Both are cheaters. I don't know about Clemens, but Bonds did lie about not taking PEDs and tried to cover it all up. There's a reason why Bonds' godfather, Hank Aaron, didn't want to part of Bonds' home run celebrations. Aaron has been really disappointed in his godson's cheating, which is no big secret. So no, these two cheaters should never be allowed into the BBHOF. I'd go so far as to say that the record books should be striped of their stats.

The voters are entitled to use whatever standards they want for voting. Those voters have not yet determined that Bonds and Clemens are worthy of induction. That's neither right nor wrong. BTW, Barry Bonds is NOT the best hitter of all time. And Clemens has several others of his era that could be considered the best of his era. I'd put Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez John Smoltz, Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine in the same conversation as Clemens. And none of them had the PED baggage hanging over them as Clemens does.

Screw both of them "ROIDS"

Brad

Pete Rose bet on games he was playing in but it was always to win. He is not in the Hall Of fame.

It depend on how you fell about 2 Players who basically used every Performance Enhancing Drug known to man. the Millions of Dollars they made playing Major League Baseball should be some comfort to them. Both would have gone into The Baseball Hall of Fame for The Achievements they had prior to using PED's. They made their beds, now they have to lie in them.

Two CHEATERS were kept out of the Hall and that's a good thing.

antonius

No, and neither one was the best pitcher or hitter.

Jerry S

no, they got it right.

Farfel

Bonds was the biggest Prick of all time and fat boy Clemens didn't have to cheat, but now he may never get in.

drrckyee

You can punish Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, but please don't put Dexter Fowler and Mark Beurhle in the BALCO investigation.

jonniebaby

Cheaters never win.

Chazz

Barry Bonds never had a positive drug test.

Nick

Put Pete Rose in first. Then we will talk about the Steroid abuser bonds and then Clemons.

It is good to see that most people still believe in sportsmanship and demand true greatness be represented by honest players and not those who choose to cheat or violate the rules.

No one who uses PEDs should ever be allowed in the Hall of Fame

It will go back and forth forever. But one thing you can't take away from the above mention players is their talent is a hall of fame worthy. Drugs will not help you hit a baseball. Bonds was walked 2,558 times in his career 668 times intentionally. Do you think the pitchers were worried about drugs? And his talent went full circle. So the one major thing that might have hurt him is he was not media friendly. And i be willing to bet very few voters could hit a Roger Clemmens fastball. Do your research on the DRUGS. Talk to doctors and pharmacy personnel. Get real answers. Is their hatred for people in the world? yes. And the story goes on and on.

Now that I took performance enhancing drugs to prolong my erection and bang your mom over and over and bring her to a tremendous orgasm, will I have enough stamina left to satisfy your sister or no?
