Can I use “plastic epoxy” to secure a shaft to putter head?

I recently purchased a new putter head and a custom shaft. I have experience with assembly, as I work at a Golf club. I have always used the golf epoxy that’s been given to me, but as it is winter time where I live, I have not been working so I don’t have access to this epoxy. However, I do have “plastic epoxy” here at my house. It is a two-part epoxy like the one I’m used to using, however the label states it’s for use on plastic items. Would it be safe to use this epoxy for securing the shaft to the putter head? The shaft is steel and the head is also steel if that makes a difference.

you can't use fast acting epoxy it's not strong enough , epoxy doesn't stick to plastic so I doubt it's regular epoxy
