Should I buy one before it’s too late

Don't know about the bill but it couldn't hurt to own one.

If nothing else you'll have an AR 15. No one knows the future, no one knows if they will ban them. What we do know is there will be massive non compliance if they try.

There are several million in private homes in the USA. They are fine guns. Buy one if you want one but I believe they are here to stay at least in my lifetime.

NO. All three of the major federal gun "control" ( Ban) laws came when we had a Democrat President, a Democrat controlled House and a Democrat controlled Senate. 1934, 1968 and 1994. As long as the Republicans control one of the three your gun rights are pretty solid.

It has no prayer of passing in the Senate or signature of the President. Even if passed - I doubt they will pay owners for their property and that would make it a violation of the 14 Amendment - with the whole thing going to the courts. Watch what happens to the Bump Stock ban set to take effect on March 26th. It's already in court. If that does not pass than an assault weapons ban wont have a prayer.

Yup.

The Republican majority Senate would never pass it. Probably won't even get out of committee. I would worry more about 2021 as the Democrats will have the same campaign advantages that the Republicans had this past election year in the Senate.

Washington—Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) today led a group of senators in introducing the Assault Weapons Ban of 2019, an updated bill to ban the sale, transfer, manufacture and importation of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.
