What is my great-grandfather’s female cousin to me?
Is she my great-aunt? My “something”-cousin “something”-removed (Like third cousin twice removed)? I want to know because she was pretty famous, so I wanna be able to tell the story correctly. Thanks!

If they are first cousins, then your shared ancestor is your x3 great grandparents who are their grandparents, so 1st cousins 3 times removed

The "removed" part is a count of the generations between you, three, in this instance.
