Yes, very often actually. Never with scissors though. I use a gizmo called a "Hair Whiz" which contains a razor blade to give varying amounts of a razor cut. Unfortunately, it is no longer made, but there may be some other products like it available.

Yes. And because I like a tousled look, it always came out fine. But that was back in the day. Probably not a plan now.
